This November, voters living in the San Diego Unified School District will have the opportunity to support Measure M, a bond measure that will continue ongoing upgrades and repairs across nearly 150 of our schools… without raising taxes! Your elected SDEA representatives approved this endorsement at a special Rep Council, in order to get our support on the ballot materials to send out to all voters. (When it comes to school decisions, voters listen to teachers!)
- See more about this measure here, including the SDUSD Resolution that details.
- You can review the full resolution from the SDUSD board, which details the proposed improvements at each site (It’s a long document because it includes improvements at all sites across the District – you can search that for your site to see which repairs would be funded by this bond measure.)
- Speaking of repairs… for day to day maintenance needs, don’t forget that our new contract has a more streamlined process to request maintenance.
Our union contract gives us the right to request maintenance and get a response. Our power as voters can ensure that SDUSD has the bond funds needed to maintain and update our schools!
